Five individuals have been remanded in custody over the killing of Polish academic Przemyslaw Jeziorski in Greece, among them his 43-year-old ex-wife and her 35-year-old partner, who is accused of committing the murder.
Jeziorski, a professor at the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, was found dead in a case that has drawn international attention.
The ex-wife faces charges of incitement and complicity in the crime, while her partner has been charged with murder. Three others, including a 16-year-old, are accused of assisting in the killing.

During his testimony, the 35-year-old suspect allegedly broke down, claiming he acted out of fear that Jeziorski intended to take his children abroad. “I wanted to save my family. I did everything because I was afraid we’d never see the kids again,” he reportedly said.
One of the accused accomplices told authorities he was asked to help “intimidate a child abuser,” while another claimed he was offered €50,000 to stay silent after the murder.
The ex-wife, however, denied any involvement, stating: “I am innocent. I had no knowledge of my partner’s plan,” and noted that Jeziorski had been financially supporting the family.
Reports suggest the group used a rented luxury vehicle to carry out the crime. Investigations remain ongoing as authorities work to determine the precise role of each suspect.
