Western Sydney Wanderers have confirmed the departure of nine players from their women’s first team following the end of their Ninja A-League contracts, including midfielder Talia Kapetanellis.
Kapetanellis joins Sienna Saveska, Amelia Cassar, Gemma Ferris, Paige Haywood, Maya Lobo, Aya Seino, Keely Segavcic, and Bronte Trew in exiting the club.
The news follows an earlier announcement that defender Madison McComasky had also parted ways with the Wanderers.
Kapetanellis, a consistent squad member, leaves as the club prepares for a major rebuild ahead of the 2025–26 season. With only 12 players currently signed, a wave of new signings is expected.
While the Wanderers farewelled several key contributors—including Golden Boot winner Saveska and midfielder Trew—the club has secured the futures of Amy Chessari, teenage talent Talia Younis, and 24-year-old Ena Harada for the upcoming season.
