Nick Kyrgios sells Sydney penthouse as he prepares move back to Canberra

·

Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has sold his luxury Sydney penthouse for $1,925,000, just a day before its scheduled auction.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, located in the award-winning Capella building in Kensington, features a private rooftop terrace with city views, a heated outdoor pool, gym, and double garage access.

The sale follows Kyrgios’ recent withdrawal from the French Open and the upcoming grass season due to a knee injury.

The 30-year-old had purchased the property in 2021 for $1.6 million and made upgrades including a new stone kitchen.

Selling agent Triston Oddi of PPD Real Estate declined to comment on the off-market deal, which was secured by a family from Rose Bay.

The sale also comes after news of Kyrgios’ breakup with long-time partner Costeen Hatzi. The Canberra-born player now plans to return to his hometown.
