Australia’s Ambassador to Greece, Alison Duncan, attended a special ceremony on Remembrance Day (Saturday, November 11) to honour and remember those who died or suffered while serving Australia and its allies in wars and armed conflicts.
The ceremony took place in Athens at the Phaleron War Cemetery and was hosted by the Ambassador of France in Greece, Laurence Auer, and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Greece, Matthew Lodge.
Ms Duncan laid a wreath on the day.
“We are forever indebted to those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice. Lest we forget,” a post on the Australian Embassy in Greece’s Facebook page reads.
