Archbishop Makarios of Australia met with Greece’s Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Georgios Kotsiras on Tuesday, October 24.

During the meeting, Archbishop Makarios and Mr Kotsiras discussed issues related to the needs of the Greeks of Australia.

The Archbishop and Mr Kotsiras also spoke about the possibility of strengthening the relationship between the Greek State and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia.

Mr Kotsiras congratulated Archbishop Makarios for helping to preserve the national and cultural identity of the Greek diaspora in Australia.

For his part, the Archbishop wished Mr Kotsiras good health and strength to continue his responsibilities and duties.
