Greek spirit of giving shines in Delphi Bank’s Toy Drive

·

The Greek community is bolstered by a number of strong pillars. Though, ‘filotimo’ is the foundation that all Greeks are most proud of, and it really comes alive during Christmas time.

The Greek community have been busy donating gifts to Delphi Bank’s annual Delphi Bank Toy Drive in New South Wales and Queensland.

Throughout the month of December, the community has been spreading the festive cheer, in the hope that their small gifts will put a smile on the faces of the children at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead (Westmead Kids).

This marks Delphi Bank’s third year of visiting the Children’s Hospital in Westmead to donate gifts, and the first year in Queensland, with the West End team jumping on board!

In 2018, the NSW team donated over 200 toys to the Westmead Hospital.

The overwhelming generosity and filotimo of Greeks around Australia has not gone unappreciated by Delphi Bank, who gave the following statement:

“Thank you to everyone in our community who have supported our initiative – our annual Delphi Bank Toy Drive (NSW and QLD). Your visits to our branch have brightened our days, knowing that these gifts will help give these children some hope and happiness.”
