Emmy-winning TV producer Dana Eden found dead in Greece

·

Israeli television producer Dana Eden, co-creator of the Emmy-winning series Tehran, has died suddenly in Athens, Israeli public broadcaster KAN has confirmed.

Eden, 52, was found dead in a hotel while in Greece for the filming of the show’s fourth season. Greek police said there was no suspicion of foul play, while authorities do not publicly comment further in such cases.

KAN described Eden as “among the leading figures in Israel’s television industry,” adding that her work left “a deep mark on the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation.”

Her production company dismissed speculation surrounding her death, stating: “The production company wishes to clarify that the rumors of a criminal or nationally motivated death are false and unfounded,” and called for privacy and respect for her family.

Israel’s Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar paid tribute, saying Eden “left a deep mark on Israeli creation and brought our story to international stages with pride, talent and courage.”
