SA politicians gather with community to celebrate St George feast day

The Community and Parish of Saint George Thebarton in South Australia celebrated St George’s feast day on Monday, May 6.

The feast day was celebrated with a Divine Liturgy followed by a luncheon.

Federal Member for Adelaide, Steve Georganas MP and SA Minister for Transport, Tom Koutsantonis MP both carried the icon of St George around the church.

Other politicians in attendance included Connie Bonaros MLC, Councillor Zoi Papafilopoulos and Mayor Michael Coxon. Mr Georganas wished those who were celebrating a happy name day via Facebook.
