AHEPA NSW ORIONAS Hunters and Fishermen’s Club adopts constitutional changes

·

On 18 January 2026, the General Assembly of the AHEPA NSW ORIONAS Hunters and Fishermen’s Club was held, attended by approximately 50 members.

During the meeting, three motions were adopted that will shape the future direction of the Club.

The first motion approved amendments to the Club’s Constitution.

The second motion formally resolved that the Club will operate independently from AHEPA Sydney & NSW moving forward. As a result of this resolution, the ORIONAS Hunters and Fishermen’s Club will no longer function under the organisational structure of AHEPA Sydney & NSW and will continue its activities as a separate and self-governing entity.

Members present noted that the decision followed discussion regarding membership processes and administrative matters raised in relation to the August 17 AHEPA Sydney & NSW General Assembly, including questions concerning membership renewals and voting eligibility.

The third motion addressed the required period of membership before a new member becomes eligible to stand for election to the Board.

Elections were subsequently held for a new Board of Directors. Antonis Alexandrou was elected President and stated that he intends to work towards the stable and constructive progression of the Club in its new independent capacity.

The meeting concluded with light refreshments, with members exchanging views about the Club’s future.
