Anna Vissi thrills 60,000 fans in Panathenaic Stadium comeback

·

Greek pop icon Anna Vissi lit up Athens’ Panathenaic Stadium on Saturday, September 13, performing before more than 60,000 fans in a night filled with music and emotion.

A year after her sold-out triumph at the same venue, Vissi once again captivated the crowd, opening with her beloved ballad Se Periptosi Pou (“In Case That”).

“What you’re giving me tonight is a gift of life,” she told the audience. “Here we are together once more at the Kallimarmaro. Shall we make history again?”

The concert also carried a deeply personal note with the appearance of her longtime collaborator Nikos Karvelas. “He wrote, I sang, and together we dreamed—and still do,” Vissi said before inviting him on stage, drawing thunderous applause.

Vissi returns tonight for a second show at the historic stadium, with part of the proceeds supporting ELPIDA – Association of Friends of Children with Cancer.
